Description
Heat pump is very popular in our day energy-efficient system, which combines the best features of furnaces and air conditioners. As alternative of refrigerator, heat pump uses different kinds of fuel resource and with electricity changes cool space in warm. The operation of the heat pump is very simple – when it’s cold outside, the system move heat from outdoors to warm house, and, during hot days, move heat out of house to outdoors. Just because heat pump move heat, but doesn’t generate, you can optimize the air-conditioning system by reducing energy and heating costs.
Among the proposed models of heat pumps you can find three types: air-to-air, geothermal and water source. They collect and concentrate heat from air, ground and water to create optimal temperature inside the house.
Air-source heat pump is the most common type, which producers heat from outside air by transferring air flows. This type of system widely used in cold regions as more effective replacement of energy-consuming equipment. For ductless houses is recommended to use a ductless version of pump called a mini-split heat pump.
Geothermal pumps include ground-source or water-source types, which transfer heat between house and ground or water source (placed near house). This system is not so popular as the above-mentioned, but some conservationists believe that they are more environmentally friendly.
